1. The first part of the cleaning process is the preparation and for this we use the vacuum cleaner. Make sure to give your sofa a good hoover before you move onto any of the additional steps. This helps make sure any dirt, grime or pet hair (if you have furry friends) has been removed.
2. If you or somebody else in your house has had a fresh spill the next thing to do is blot and blot quickly. Remember blot rather than scrub or rub and use only a white cloth and some warm water.
3. After vacuuming away any excess debris or dirt and blotting the stain the final step is to apply the stain remover itself.
However please remember that modern sofas are made from any number of different materials so if you aren’t 100% sure the stain remover you are using is suitable for the fabric on your sofa apply a small squirt to a part of the sofa that is easy to hide.
